Tak Onishi

Tak is responsible for managing and developing WiL’s investment portfolio. He has over 20 years of experience in the financial management of internet, media, and telecom companies.

Prior to joining WiL, Tak served as Managing Director of the Investment Banking Division of Mizuho Securities, where he led numerous domestic and international M&A deals and IPO transactions. In the company’s earlier years as the Industry Bank of Japan, Tak served as a primary research analyst. During this time, Tak cultivated new business opportunities with foreign branches, providing him with the expertise needed to guide WiL’s portfolio companies in entering new global markets.

Tak holds an MBA from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Tokyo. Outside the office, he channels his innate sense of determination into marathon and triathlon races.
